EG Training Services Ltd, company number 06607253, of Unit 3, Mulberry Court, Bourne Ind Est, Bourne Road, Crayford, DA2 7LE, is the data controller for the personal information collected through this website and through our booking, enquiry and review processes. 2. The personal data we collect

• Identity and contact details — your name, email address, telephone number and postal address.
• Booking and employment details — your company name and role, the courses you book or enquire about, and details of learners you book on behalf of.
• Qualification evidence — certificates, prior qualifications and identification documents you upload to demonstrate course entry requirements.
• Feedback — reviews and testimonials you submit, including your name, company and star rating.
• Technical data — standard server log information such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, used for security and performance monitoring.

3. How we use your data and our lawful bases

Under the UK GDPR we must have a lawful basis for each use of your personal data. We use your information to:

• Respond to enquiries and process booking requests, confirm places and arrange payment — performance of a contract or steps taken at your request before entering a contract.
• Register you with certification and awarding bodies, issue certificates and maintain the training and assessment records those bodies require — performance of a contract and compliance with legal and regulatory obligations.
• Send you a one-off invitation to review your course after you complete it — legitimate interests in gathering feedback and improving our services. You can ignore or delete this email.
• Publish reviews you choose to submit, once approved by our team — your consent, given when you submit the review. You may withdraw consent at any time and we will remove the review.
• Keep our website secure and detect fraud or misuse — legitimate interests.

4. Who we share your data with

We share personal data only where necessary:

• Certification and awarding bodies (for example NICEIC, OFTEC and registration schemes such as the Gas Safe Register) where this is required to register, assess or certificate your qualification.
• Service providers who operate our website, email and booking systems on our behalf, bound by data processing agreements.
• Regulators, insurers or legal advisers where we are legally required or it is necessary to establish or defend legal claims.

We never sell your personal data to anyone.

5. How long we keep your data

Enquiry records are kept for up to 24 months. Booking, training and assessment records are kept for the periods required by the relevant certification bodies, typically up to 7 years, so that your qualification history can be verified and certificates re-issued. Financial records are kept for the statutory accounting period. When records are no longer required they are securely deleted.

6. Where your data is stored

Our systems are hosted on reputable cloud platforms. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we ensure it is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations.

7. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and role-based permissions so that only authorised members of our team can access personal data. Uploaded certificates are stored privately and are visible only to our office team.

8. Your rights

You have the right to request a copy of your personal data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have your data deleted (where we are not legally required to keep it), to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent. To exercise any of these rights, email enquiries@egtrainingservices.co.uk. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113. We would always welcome the chance to resolve your concern first.

9. Cookies

This website uses only essential technical storage required for it to function (for example, remembering your booking form progress). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page.
